We’re located in the heart of downtown Sarasota, one block from Main Street. We have two entrances — choose whichever works best for where you’re parking.
South Pineapple Avenue
Our primary entrance faces South Pineapple Avenue. As you enter the Narthex, the Chapel is immediately on your right and the Sanctuary a few steps ahead on your left. The Welcome Desk is just inside the main doors.
This entrance is closest to street parking on Pineapple Ave. and The Mark Garage directly across the street.Mira Mar Court
Our rear entrance on Mira Mar Court passes through the office lobby and into the Narthex. This is the entrance to use if you're taking advantage of our complimentary Sunday valet service.
A small private lot on Mira Mar Court is reserved for those with limited mobility. If you need accessible parking, please contact our office ahead of your visit.
This entrance is closest to street parking on Pineapple Ave. and The Mark Garage directly across the street.
Both services follow the same scripture and message. Dress as you wish — comfort is the only expectation.
Downtown parking can feel uncertain if you don’t know where to look. Here’s every option available to you — all of them free on Sunday mornings.
The Mark Garage
Our primary parking option. 40 designated spaces reserved for First UMC on Sunday mornings — the first spaces as you enter the garage. Look for the Church Parking sign. If the ramp spaces are full, continue straight and turn left at the Public Parking sign. No charge, ever.
Complimentary Valet
Don't want to hunt for a space? Pull up to the Mira Mar Court entrance and our valet team will take care of the rest. Available every Sunday from 10:00 am. Please reclaim your vehicle by 12:30 pm.
State Street Garage
The City of Sarasota's State Street Parking Garage is a short walk from our front entrance. A convenient option if The Mark Garage is full or if you're arriving from the north end of downtown.
Palm Avenue Garage
Another city garage option within easy walking distance. The Palm Avenue Parking Garage is a good alternative if you're approaching from the south or prefer a slightly different walking route to the church.
Street Parking
Street parking is available directly on South Pineapple Avenue and Mira Mar Court on Sunday mornings. Spots fill up closer to the 11:00 am service, but you'll often find a space if you're arriving for the 8:30 am Chapel service.
Accessible Parking
A small private lot on Mira Mar Court is reserved for guests with limited mobility. If you need accessible parking, please contact our office at (941) 955-0935 before your visit so we can ensure a space is available for you.
FUMC parking stickers are available at the Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings and at the church office during the week (Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm). The sticker helps garage staff identify church visitors.
