Are there mistakes in the Bible? If a gospel writer did not remember from which sacred scroll he was quoting and named the wrong prophet, that would be a mistake. But would it mean that the Bible is unreliable as a source of truth about God? No. Even though there are lots of disagreement among Christians on how to understand the Bible, all Christians rely on the Scriptures because they communicate God’s message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
