First Church has exciting things happening with our Children’s Ministry. We have been busy building a program that ensures that we provide a safe and fun environment for children to grow in their connection to God. Your child will learn, make new friends, and feel loved while attending our engaging children’s classes.
Children are our first priority at First Church!
Nursery (Infants – 2 years)
Children are welcome to attend the 11a.m. in-person service. At this time, the nursery is available and sanitized for parents if needed, but is currently not staffed due to Covid. The nursery is located upstairs in Youth Hall.
All volunteers and staff members at First Church are heavily screened and must pass a strict background check.
Preschool (3 years – Kindergarten) and Elementary (1st – 5th grades)
With pre-registration, pre-K though 5th graders are invited to participate in an in-person, one-room Sunday School class while parents are in the 11a.m. in-person worship. Parents must sign an acknowledgement of Covid protocol ahead of time, which we can provide via email. The Sunday School classroom is upstairs and accessible by the elevator or the stairs next to the church office.
Children’s Moment is held online during this time.
Children in middle and high school are invited to attend our in-person worship services on Sunday mornings at 11a.m.
Group Sunday School Curriculum
Are you looking for a top-rated daycare or preschool in the downtown area? First Church offers a weekday preschool and daycare through our Early Care Center (ECC) which provides a nurturing educational experience for children six weeks to Kindergarten with an average enrollment of 75. Because our program is so good, there is often a waiting list.
The Early Care Center is on the lower level of the Family Life Center. The entrance is on Mira Mar Court. For more information on our Early Care Center, click here
