But Moses’ hands grew weary; so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side; so his hands were steady until the sun set. (Exodus 17:12)
During the battle, when Moses grew too weak to keep his hands raised, Aaron and Hur helped steady him. As I recover from surgery and the infection, I have felt your love and prayers sustain me. I appreciate your cards, e-mails, visits, flowers, and other expressions of caring. According to my surgeon this morning, I am doing well. He cautioned about overdoing it and insisted I allow three more weeks for my body to heal before returning to the gym, bike riding, etc. The good news is that my health situation has delayed, but not derailed, our plans for a vacation to visit my brother who recently had a stroke in Louisville. After visiting family in Kentucky, I will take a few days to rest and write at a friend’s house in North Carolina before I attend a writers’ conference near Asheville at the end of the month. Then we will return to Florida, and I will attend the Annual Conference in Lakeland. I appreciate the Rev. Don Roberts and Pastor Woody filling the pulpit for me.
Thank you all for your loving support. Blessings!
Dr. Sam
